A 1st For Tricity - 4 Side Open Plaza With A High End Shopping Street To Come Up

    Mohali (Punjab) : To initiate a pioneering real estate project in tricity, a real estate organisation ‘Icon Group’ held the bhoomi poojan and ground breaking ceremony of a four-side-open plaza- 'Downtown Mohali' , which will be spread  across over 5 acres in the heart of Mohali at Sector 62, Ram Leela Ground.   Rajesh Puri, a Director in the Icon Group said, "Downtown means a central part or main business and commercial area of a town or city. It will be a perfect amalgamation of work and entertainment, which tricity residents will experience for the first time in their hometown. The project is one-of-a-kind due to its unique four side-open design. This will set it apart from other plazas. This quadruple side-open architecture will be customer friendly." Cancer Awareness Camp by Indian Cancer Society & Bisnouli Sansthan held

  Gurugram, Haryana : A cancer awareness and free screening camp was organized by Bisnouli Sarvodaya Gramodyog Sewa Sansthan (BSGSS) in association with Indian Cancer Society (ICS). Mr Dhirendra Kharagata, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nuh was the chief guest. Since Nuh region is prone to the incidence of cancer, the camp helped identify more than 100 potential cancer patients and take remedial actions well in advance. Col Ajai Tomar (Retd.), CEO, ICS, led the team of doctors.   Ranchi (Jharkhand): The record for reciting the names of all the countries of the world along with their capitals, currencies and areas in the least time was set by Vikash Kumar Vishwakarma of Palamu, Jharkhand. He recited the names of 195 countries, their capitals, currencies and areas in just 11 minutes and 7 seconds, as confirmed on January 4, 2021 by the India Book of Records (IBR). Vikash, born on April 10, 1998 in Palamu district of Jharkhand, said that he had been trying to set few records in different categories. He got inspired by a memory trainer in Patna (Bhihar), during the preparation of a competitive examination. He practiced for three weeks before setting this record. Since he could not arrange the fee for a memory training course, he developed his own method of memorizing huge data, facts and words. Maj Gen Yash Mor becomes CEO of Save the Himalayas Foundation

    Gurugram : Maj Gen (Dr) Yash Mor, who has served as the GOC, Leh sub-area, has been appointed as CEO of Save the Himalayas Foundation (SHF). Dr Laxman Singh failed repeatedly before cracking UGC NET multiple times

Muzaffar Nagar:   Dr. Laxman Singh of Muzaffar Nagar (Uttar Pradesh) has got appreciation from the India Book of Records (IBR) on qualifying UGC-NET exam six times. He qualified UGC-NET examinations in 11 subjects including Political Science, Sociology, Indian Culture, Arabian Culture and Islamic Studies between December 31, 2005 to September 24, 2020, as confirmed on January 19, 2021. Dr. Laxman Singh said, “I got failed two times in the 9 th standard and it took me six years to complete the bachelor degree, as I got failed five times in my bachelor degree programme.   Chandigarh: Tricity’s animal rescue organization Furever Friends  celebrated ‘Aabhar Diwas’ to acknowledge and honour the people who have adopted dogs, cats, rabbits and other rescued animals. The event also honoured the people who help in fostering rescued motherless or injured puppies, dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals from the NGO.
