NMIMS Half Marathon held, UT Adviser Dr Dharam Pal and marathoner Amit Sheth take part

Amit Sheth, Comrades International  Brand Ambassador for the Indian Subcontinent ran the NMIMS Chandigarh Marathon. Chandigarh:  With an aim to create awareness about fitness among people and celebrate the upcoming ‘International Women’s Day’ - Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Chandigarh organised a Half Marathon-'Narsee Monjee Half Marathon International Women's Day Run', which was flagged off at the NMIMS campus. The event was held in support of GOI’s ‘Fit India Movement’ which aims to encourage people to remain healthy and fit by including sports in their daily lives.  Dr. Dharam Pal (IAS), Adviser to Administrator, Chandigarh (UT) was the chief guest and he also gave away prizes to the winners.   UT Adviser, Dr. Dharam Pal along with Amit Sheth, Honorary Secretary and Mentor, NMIMS graced the event and also participated in the run. Impressive grand finale held at The Wyndham Mohali

Mohali:  An impressive month-long summer camp organized for Tricity kids has concluded at The Wyndham, Mohali under the supervision of Yadvinder Singh, chief coach, and Director Consultant Starbiz India. Nearly 50 children of different age groups participated in the camp.  “There was great enthusiasm among kids in the month-long summer camp, the grand finale of which saw children aged between 3.5 years and 14 years giving scintillating Bhangra and Bollywood dance performances,” said Yadvinder Singh. The grand finale was graced by celebrities like Tripat Singh, a fitness icon of  India , Kiran Kaur, singer and actress, and Poonam Sood, actress. Swimming was the main attraction of the camp. Apart from swimming, there were other activities such as Bollywood dance, Zumba, Bhangra, Gyming, Yoga, Aerobics, and general fitness. Alcis Sports organised Family Run Marathon

Chandigarh : Alcis Sports, a cutting-edge Indian performance wear brand, organised Tri-City’s first full-fledged family run – Alcis Family Run here recently. The aim of the marathon was to create awareness about ‘Fitness as a Family Goal’ and ‘Save the Environment.’ Spearheaded by Coach Ravinder, a catalyst behind creating the most revolutionary running environments in India , the run was designed specifically for families and had three types of running and Walkathon.
