World needs healers, not bombs and guns : Bhikkhu Sanghasena

Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena :  It is hard to believe that even after two weeks of war between the Ukraine and Russia, even after the loss of so many precious human lives and unthinkable destruction, our world leaders have been unable to stop this inhuman war. Passion for war is the grossest stupidity on the part of humanity. Compassion for the world is the greatest wisdom on the part of humanity. This beautiful world can become heaven and human beings can experience divine life here on this Earth, if humanity only understands the art of living with compassion for all, passion for none, love for all, and hatred for none. Most unfortunately, greedy, egoistic, warmongering leaders have developed a passion for war instead of developing compassion for the world.   Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena with Prime Minister Narendra Modi Alas! Obstructed by ignorance, ensnared by greed and driven by self-interest human beings have converted this heaven like beautiful earth into a battlefield. ...

Bhikkhu Sanghasena with PM Narendra Modi Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena, Founder President, Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) Ladakh has requested the United Nations to declare the current year as the Year of Compassion. The statement of the great Buddhist Monk is being reproduced below for further awareness. In the recent times we witnessed very closely, the tension at the Indo-China borders almost leading to war-like situation. The gamut of such natural and man-made disasters juxtaposed by the COVID-19 pandemic made the year 2020 a horrifying year for the entire humanity. In the recent times, it is admirable to see the number of countries developing the COVID-19 Vaccine, which is giving us a lot of hope. However, the sorrow, dissatisfaction and sufferings of humanity do not end with the vaccine, the problems we face in today’s time are much more severe and deep rooted in our greed, hatred and ignorance. Indo-China Border: We Want Buddha, Not Yuddha - Bhikkhu Sanghasena

India and China - two giant countries of Asia must come together to lead the world. This century is the century of Asia!   The past days and weeks have seen a deeply worrying escalation of tensions, unprecedented since 1962, on the disputed India – China border in the area of  Pangong Lake , eastern  Ladakh . The current border tensions are not new to this 3,488km (2,167 miles) frontier between India and China, most of which remains hotly disputed and undemarcated. That said, the de facto border has largely remained peaceful, aside from the sporadic scuffles and other minor confrontations that reportedly occur from time to time, usually when disoriented border patrols unexpectedly run into each other, throughout the course of any given year. The current tensions, which seem far more threatening on this occasion, might have been triggered by infrastructure improvements and additions carried out by India along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), according to som...
