New Delhi: The record for being the first to travel to all the five Takhts of Sikhism on a motorcycle is set by Abhijit Singh Kohli from Panvel, Navi-Mumbai, Maharashtra . He travelled to all the five Takhts of Sikhism – ‘Sachkhand Shri Hazur Sahib, Nanded’, ‘Shri Harmandir Sahib, Patna’, Shri Keshgarh Sahib Gurudwara, Anandpur’, ‘Akal Takht – Golden Temple, Amritsar’ and ‘Shri Damdama Sahib Gurudwara, Bathinda (Punjab)’, covering a total distance of 5,436 km. Abhijit Singh Kohli, born on September 11 th , 1988, began the journey on October 25 th , 2020 from Navi Mumbai and returned on November 11 th , 2020. The record got confirmed by India Book of Records (IBR) on December 5 th , 2020. On asking that what inspired him to make this record, he said smilingly, “ I did it to pray for the human race suffering from the Covid pandemic.
