Gurugram, Haryana : A cancer awareness and free screening camp was organized by Bisnouli Sarvodaya Gramodyog Sewa Sansthan (BSGSS) in association with Indian Cancer Society (ICS). Mr Dhirendra Kharagata, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nuh was the chief guest. Since Nuh region is prone to the incidence of cancer, the camp helped identify more than 100 potential cancer patients and take remedial actions well in advance. Col Ajai Tomar (Retd.), CEO, ICS, led the team of doctors. BSGSS, an NGO mentored by two former civil servants, Vijay Kumar Jha and Ms Nandita Bakshi, serving the humanity for over two decades in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and UP, puts emphasis on empowering women through various outreach programmes, including health, education, skill development and sustainable livelihood projects.
