The Indian Bride Exhibition showcases designer wear & lifestyle products from across India

This mega event is all set to attract fashion enthusiasts from across the region, especially Tricity. Beautiful workmanship on silk sarees showcased at National Silk Expo

Chandigarh :  The National Silk Expo, featuring the latest variety and new designs of cotton and silk handloom sarees for the festive and wedding season, has begun at Himachal Bhawan, Sector-28B here. The expo will continue till August 21.  Jayesh Kumar Gupta the organizer of the Expo said, "The Silk Expo offers an alluring collection of silk sarees made by weavers from different parts of the country. The exhibition has a wide range of beautiful sarees with a variety of designs, patterns, and colors." Organized by Grameen Hastkala, this expo has the Double Ikkat handmade Patola sarees from Gujarat , which take eight months to produce. Such a sari is woven twice with each thread dyed separately, and being pure silk, it is a bit expensive too. On the other hand, in the Paithani sarees of Maharashtra , the visuals of village life, the royal style of the kings, and Mughal art can be seen. Exhibition of silk sarees crafted by skilled artisans begins at Himachal Bhawan

Chandigarh :  Handloom India Exhibition with the latest variety and designs of fine silk and cotton handloom sarees, for the summer and wedding season, has started at Himachal Bhawan, Sec 28 here. The showcase will continue till February 27. The sarees on display are crafted by experienced and skilled craftsmen from across the country. Jayesh Gupta who is organising the exhibition by getting all original artisans from all over the country under one roof said, "Lavish sarees and dress materials, brought from all parts of the country, are showcased in the exhibition. Silk sarees are available in a variety of designs, patterns and colour combinations. At the same time, a captivating collection of fashion jewelry is also on display. Gujarat 's Handmade Patola Sarees are available in the range of Rs 15 thousand to 2 lakhs, each piece of this variety  takes eight months to prepare.
