Passion for war is the grossest stupidity on the part of humanity. Compassion for the world is the greatest wisdom on the part of humanity. This beautiful world can become heaven and human beings can experience divine life here on this Earth, if humanity only understands the art of living with compassion for all, passion for none, love for all, and hatred for none. India and China - two giant countries of Asia must come together to lead the world. This century is the century of Asia!   The past days and weeks have seen a deeply worrying escalation of tensions, unprecedented since 1962, on the disputed India – China border in the area of  Pangong Lake , eastern  Ladakh . The current border tensions are not new to this 3,488km (2,167 miles) frontier between India and China, most of which remains hotly disputed and undemarcated. That said, the de facto border has largely remained peaceful, aside from the sporadic scuffles and other minor confrontations that reportedly occur from time to time, usually when disoriented border patrols unexpectedly run into each other, throughout the course of any given year. Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena addressing the inaugural session of the International Conference on Himalayan Environment at Leh A group of environmentalists has warned of grieving situation of water crisis in the whole Himalayan region, owing to the global warming, which is causing glaciers melting at a fast pace. If the conditions remain same, all the Himalayan glaciers will melt down in next 30 years or so. Mr Narvijay Yadav, general secretary, Chandigarh Chapter of Save the Himalayas Foundation (SHF-Chd), said,  “The alarm was raised at a recently concluded international conference held at Leh on Himalayan Environment and eco-system.”  Mr Rajesh Patel, Director, Goldenmiles Learning, Mumbai, who’s NGO has been working in remote Ladakh areas to spread awareness about keeping a balance in our approach to natural resources, says, “We have exhausted the natural resources and now is time to give back to the Earth what we have already consumed.” Mr Binod Chaudha...

A group of volunteers from Chandigarh also took part in the final leg of the peace walk, when a procession started from Leh Market and reached the Shanti Stupa, a major centre of tourist attraction in Ladakh. The participants were felicitated by Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, Founder President, Save the Himalayas Foundation (SHF). Purpose of this 4 th annual pad yatra was to spread the message of world peace and protection of Himalayan heritage and environment.
