Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena (left) at Leh Market during the Peace March The month-long pad yatra of Thai monks and nuns, which started from Dharamshala last month, concluded at Leh. A group of volunteers from Chandigarh also took part in the final leg of the peace walk, when a procession started from Leh Market and reached the Shanti Stupa, a major centre of tourist attraction in Ladakh. The participants were felicitated by Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, Founder President, Save the Himalayas Foundation (SHF). Purpose of this 4 th annual pad yatra was to spread the message of world peace and protection of Himalayan heritage and environment.
