Tricity’s animal rescue organization Furever Friends celebrates Aabhar Diwas

  Chandigarh: Tricity’s animal rescue organization Furever Friends  celebrated ‘Aabhar Diwas’ to acknowledge and honour the people who have adopted dogs, cats, rabbits and other rescued animals. The event also honoured the people who help in fostering rescued motherless or injured puppies, dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals from the NGO. The event was held at Gandhi Smarak Bhawan, Sector 16, Chandigarh . The chief guest was Rajesh Rai, Deputy Commissioner of Customs and Service Tax Appellate. The guest of honour was DSP Ram Gopal, Chandigarh Police. Anjna Rajal, Mrs India 2020, motivational speaker and Dr Anish Garg, Yoga Guru, National poet and show presenter at Doordarshan, BBC Toronto were the special guests. Chandigarh , 9 October, 2019 : Giving deworming tablets to street dogs every three months can keep them calm. Sometimes the reason behind dog bites is simply a dog gets irritated due to worms in his stomach. Listen to your dog through his body language and ‘talk’ to him through easy-to-lean hand signals. Do not give painkillers or antibiotics to dogs or cats without Vet consultation. These were the few tips shared by experts at the Furever Friends First Aid Camp, held at PGI community centre recently. Dr Ravinder Saini, Veterinary Surgeon said, “First aid care is not a substitute for veterinary care, but it may save your pet's life until he receives proper treatment. Do not miss deworming and vaccination dates. If you feed street dogs, give them deworming tablet according to their weight, after every 3 months. Atulya Prayas organised Blood Donation Camp

Vikas Luthra, Founder of Furever Friends being honoured A mega health checkup, cancer awareness and blood donation camp was organized by 'Atulya Prayas', a local NGO, in collaboration with Rana Production and Balwinder Singh, at Basant Vihar Phase-1, Dhakauli in Zirakpur. Mr Deepinder Singh Dhillon, Mr SMS Sandhu and Ms Jasbir Kaur,  Naib Tehsildar,   were the special guests at the event. Ms Ramnik Sharma, Founder President of Atulya Prayas said, “We are happy to organize this successful blood donation camp with the active participation of the blood bank team from the Government Multispeciality Hospital , Sector 16, Chandigarh . A total of 56 units of blood was collected during the process, while above 120 people got their health checked.” Mr Vikas Luthra, Founder of Furever Friends, was present as the guest of honor. Mr Luthra said, “Social causes do not belong to one NGO only. It is a responsibility of each member of the society to find out solutions of the v
