Save the Himalayas Foundation Global Meet in Kathmandu next year

A preparatory meeting regarding the 3 rd international conference of Save the Himalayas Foundation(SHF), planned for 2020 in Nepal , was held in Kathmandu recently. It was jointly organised by Chaudhary Foundation, ICIMOD and HimalAsia. The objective of the SHF Conference will be linking Science, Business and Community in the Hindu Kush Himalaya. Buddhist monk, Bhikkhu Sanghasena, Founder President, SHF, along with Fariha Fatima, Project Manager, SHF and Col. Prakash Tiwari, Executive member, SHF, participated in the meeting. It was attended by various stakeholders and representatives from WWF Nepal, ICIMOD, UNDP, UNESCO, UN global impact and ambassadors from different European countries. Atulya Prayas organised Blood Donation Camp

Vikas Luthra, Founder of Furever Friends being honoured A mega health checkup, cancer awareness and blood donation camp was organized by 'Atulya Prayas', a local NGO, in collaboration with Rana Production and Balwinder Singh, at Basant Vihar Phase-1, Dhakauli in Zirakpur. Mr Deepinder Singh Dhillon, Mr SMS Sandhu and Ms Jasbir Kaur,  Naib Tehsildar,   were the special guests at the event. Ms Ramnik Sharma, Founder President of Atulya Prayas said, “We are happy to organize this successful blood donation camp with the active participation of the blood bank team from the Government Multispeciality Hospital , Sector 16, Chandigarh . Kindness to Animals Campaign held in Zirakpur

A kindness to animals drive was organized in  Zirakpur  town on Sunday by the volunteers of Joy for Animals and The Rainbow Cause. Homeless dogs of the area were offered food and water besides de-worming tablets also for some of them. A group of young volunteers, including professionals, journalist, students and  a doctor   was led by Khushboo Yadav, co-founder, Joy for Animals, and Jagriti Mahajan, founder, The Rainbow Cause. Prominent among the volunteers included Harleen Kaur, Ishita Chodha, Bhawna, Shivam Arora, Dr Anmol Singh, Viplav Chaudhary, Chetan Sharma, Abhishek Ralli and Rupali Raghuwanshi.
