Alcis Sports organised Family Run Marathon



Chandigarh: Alcis Sports, a cutting-edge Indian performance wear brand, organised Tri-City’s first full-fledged family run – Alcis Family Run here recently. The aim of the marathon was to create awareness about ‘Fitness as a Family Goal’ and ‘Save the Environment.’

Spearheaded by Coach Ravinder, a catalyst behind creating the most revolutionary running environments in India, the run was designed specifically for families and had three types of running and Walkathon. The main aim behind the run was to get families to come out and explore the joy of running together. Keeping a runner’s ‘never say die’ spirit, a solo 10K category was also included for those who wanted to run hard.

Roshan Baid, MD, Alcis Sports, said, “We have seen that most of the families have only one or sometimes two family members at the max who are conscious about fitness. Through this Family Run we waned to create a culture where the whole family comes out together, practices together and run together to create a common fitness goal.”

Ravish Nanda, Director, Alcis Sports, said, “‘We are used T-Shirts in the Alcis Family Run which are made out of recycled plastic bottles. Along with fitness, we also wanted to spread awareness about saving the environment”.
