Amity University Holds Farewell Function for Passing out Batch of 2023


Mohali: Amity University bid farewell to its graduating batch of 2023 in a spectacular event filled with glitz, glamour, and Bollywood flair. The farewell, organized with a theme inspired by the world of Indian cinema, brought together students, faculty, and esteemed guests to commemorate the memorable journey of the graduating class.

The farewell ceremony kicked off with a grand welcome for the outgoing students, who were bestowed with fun titles in true Bollywood style. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the immediate juniors delighted the audience with their captivating performances, showcasing dance styles including bhangra, gidda, fusion, and freestyle,  sprinkled with a pinch of Bollywood tadka and a generous dose of drama.

The event also witnessed the crowning of Mr. and Miss Amity University Punjab, with Bhavya being crowned Miss Amity University Punjab and Hamish being crowned Mr. Amity University Punjab.  Dr. Shivali Dhingra, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Humanities, Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Majithia, Dean of the Faculty of Law and RJ Kashish presented the honors to the winners.

During the farewell ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of the university Dr. RK Kohli congratulated the passing out batch and wished all the graduating students well as they embark on their future endeavors.

Meanwhile adding to the festive spirit, renowned radio personalities RJ Jassi and RJ Kashish graced the occasion as chief guests who were felicitated by Mr. Sahil Kapoor, Assistant Director, Business and Marketing. The lively RJs interacted with the students, creating an atmosphere of fun, and ensuring that their last day at Amity University Punjab was filled with laughter and cherished memories.

One of the highlights of the evening was the ramp walk, where the graduating students took center stage to share their beautiful memories of their time at the university, expressing their gratitude to their teachers and friends.  As a token of appreciation, each student was presented with a special gift from the university, symbolizing gratitude for their contributions and acknowledging their dedication throughout their academic journey.
