Dr Laxman Singh failed repeatedly before cracking UGC NET multiple times


Muzaffar Nagar:  Dr. Laxman Singh of Muzaffar Nagar (Uttar Pradesh) has got appreciation from the India Book of Records (IBR) on qualifying UGC-NET exam six times. He qualified UGC-NET examinations in 11 subjects including Political Science, Sociology, Indian Culture, Arabian Culture and Islamic Studies between December 31, 2005 to September 24, 2020, as confirmed on January 19, 2021.

Dr. Laxman Singh said, “I got failed two times in the 9th standard and it took me six years to complete the bachelor degree, as I got failed five times in my bachelor degree programme. I was considered a very poor students that’s why I wanted to prove my mettle to the world and now I have done that.”

Born on June 6, 1978, Dr Singh has developed a very good habit. He loves reading a lot – different books on various subjects. He reads loads of printed material of all sorts, thus widening his knowledge base tremendously. The habit of reading nonstop helped him in cracking the UGC NET repeatedly, without even preparing before the exams.

He has something to say about the examination system – “If UGC NET would have been a subjective exam instead of an objective one, I would have accomplished this feat many years ago in my life. But, any how, I am greatly satisfied by my efforts and the recognition I have got from the reputed India Book of Records. The IBR appreciation certificate means a lot to me at this stage of my life.”

Dr Singh’s friends and family members jumped with joy when they got the news of selection of the feat by the India Book of Records. He himself could not believe it first and expressed – “It was a wonderful feeling.”

He has a message to the masses that people should stay focused on their goals.  “Study books on different subjects. Prefer study material in English language, that too published by renowned publishers”.
