Her papers have been proposed by renowned industrialist and famous personality, Mr Kamal Oswal, Managing Director of Nahar Group of Industries and seconded by Onkar Pahwa, Chairman of Avon Cycles.
She was accompanied by her large number of supporters, well-wishers, relatives, and club members. The elections are to be held on December 24 for a total of 11 posts, including vice president, general secretary, joint secretary, finance secretary, sports secretary, bar secretary, mess secretary, and cultural secretary.
Dr Sulbha has already started her poll campaign, and she has been getting overwhelming responses from the club members.
After filing her nomination papers when she came out of the room of returning officers, she enthusiastically made a sign of victory, and her followers also did the same.
Dr Sulbha, in a jubilant mood, said that she is committed to bringing reforms in sports activities of the club. “My top most agenda is to promote sports and motivate all club member and their family members to participate in the sports activities”, she said.
She has been campaigning by contacting the club members personally. She said she has observed that the club members have great aspirations for her. “This is because of the fact that she is a national-level swimmer”, she said, adding that she will definitely fulfill all of the aspirations of the club members.
Replying to a question, she said she is not contesting for the post of sports secretary for availing any benefit. Rather, she is contesting for the promotion of sports with the spirit of sportsmanship.
She said the club is like her ‘family’ because she had been visiting the club since her childhood. The first time she visited with her maternal uncle, Mr Pran Arora many years back, who has served the club in various capacities. BlogsWire
