Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: India@75 Freedom Ride held


Chandigarh: To celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Thumpers Café - a well-known Bike Riders' Group of Tricity, organized an impressive India@75 Freedom Ride. Fervour and enthusiasm marked the event, which started at Sector 34 playground and concluded at Ropar Haveli.

“It was a rare honor to flag off India@75 Freedom Ride. We have completed 75 years as an independent nation. It is a rare milestone,” said Manat Noor, a famous singer, who flagged off the Ride along with Brigadier Satinder Singh, Vineet Joshi, and Vishal Batra, brother of Kargil martyr Capt. Vikram Batra, PVC (Posthumous). Vishal Batra also took part in the India@75 Freedom Ride which saw the participation of over 400 bikers. 

“The idea was to celebrate a historic moment in a memorable way by infusing a sense of patriotism among our youth, who are the backbone of the nation. I am glad that India@75 Freedom Ride got a huge response from the participants,” said Munish Soni, Founder of Thumpers Cafe.

There was a huge crowd to cheer up riders at the Parade Ground, Sector 34, Chandigarh. The riders were received with cheer at Ropar Haveli and the event was marked by musical performance and dance. The participants were offered goodies along with food.

“I don’t have words to describe the kind of happiness and satisfaction I have after participating in the India@75 Freedom Ride. It was a great experience, indeed,” said Amandeep who took part in the event along with many of his friends.

Nisha Narayan, CEO of Red FM and Magic FM, said, “This Independence Day celebration was unique for us, as we have completed 75 years as a free nation. We thought of celebrating the moment in a unique manner. I congratulate everyone for making India@75 Freedom Ride a huge success.”
