Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will be in tricity for Mahasatsang at PLPB 'The Wellness City' on April 3

Chandigarh: Founder of the Art of Living, global humanitarian and spiritual master, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will be holding a ‘Mahasatsang’ on Sunday - April 3 at the site of the upcoming 'Wellness City' next to Chitkara University on the Chandigarh-Patiala Highway. Details of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's upcoming tricity itinerary were given at a press meet held at the Press Club here by Suresh Goyal and Amita Bawa both Apex members of Art of Living (AOL) and Sumit Singla, a young Director of Prime Land Promoters & Builders (PLPB) and Lohit Bansal, Director (PLPB) and AOL teacher, along with Madhu Pandit, media coordinator, Art of Living.

"The 'Mahasatsang' will start at 5.30 pm. Over 15,000 Gurudev's followers are expected to attend the ‘Mahasatsang.' Preparations for the mega event are underway in full swing, " said Lohit Bansal, Director, PLPB 'The Wellness City'.

Suresh Goyal, an apex member of Art of Living (AOL) said, "Hon’ble Governor Sh Banwari Lal Purohit will be the Chief Guest at the Mahasatsang with many other dignitaries likely to grace the event as well."

It is to be noted that The Wellness City, when fully ready will comprise an Art of Living Ashram, the largest one in north India. "Located in a lush green area, and spread across 20 acres of land, the Ashram will have a meditation hall, an  international school, Ayurveda College and many other features," said Sumit Singla, Director, PLPB. 

It was informed that apart from the Ashram, the Wellness City will have a sprawling 90 acres area which will be uniquely designed with ample access to natural light, clean air, and abundant and diverse nature. “The Wellness City will be a one of a kind endeavour. Its USP is that we have engaged International architects for designing and building the project.” Sharing more details about the project, Sumit Singla said that 'The Wellness City' will have a central plaza driveway for access and an integrated pedestrian walkway through the entire community with overhead bridges for safe access. There will be a separate network for pedestrian and traffic flow. Lohit Bansal informed that the project will offer sustainable living with ample heating, ventilation and cooling facilities along with efficient rainwater harvesting provision. The entire project is energy efficient with low power consumption.

PLPB is proud to be associated with the Art of Living (AOL) and bringing North India's biggest  Ashram to the region. The Ashram is a part of The Wellness City by PLPB being built up by seeking inspiration from the 5 elements of life – water, earth, fire, water and the soul, which is envisaged as an oasis of tranquility and wellness. Designed by the top International architects with bioclimatic architecture the wellness city is designed for physical, social, intellectual and spiritual wellness for denizens across the country.

The organisation's de-addiction programs have reached over 10,000 people in the state in 80 villages.
