Guhan A. is the youngest kid to recite Bhagavad Gita shlokas


Bengaluru: The record for being the youngest to recite all shlokas of the 7th chapter of Bhagavad Gita was set by Guhan A. (born on December 16, 2015) in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This record has been recognised by the reputed India Book of Records.

Guhan recited 30 shlokas of the 7th chapter of Bhagavad Gita in Sanskrit language in a time period of 6 minutes and 40 seconds, at the tender age of 4 years, 7 months and 9 days only. The record was confirmed on August 4, 2020.

Guhan is passionate about shlokas and songs. He practiced for 32 days to achieve this feat. When asked to tell some interesting event associated with the record making process, one of the parent said, “:Guhan was reciting parts of shlokas while sleeping also. That was funny. And that shows his dedication too.”

Parents did not face much challenge for this record. Family friends and relatives felt proud and excited on hearing this news. On getting this news that his record has been selected for the India Book of Records, I felt overwhelmed with joy and wished to achieve more and more,” said his mother and added, “We need to respect our tradition and pass it onto the coming generations. Dr Laxman Singh failed repeatedly before cracking UGC NET multiple times

Muzaffar Nagar:   Dr. Laxman Singh of Muzaffar Nagar (Uttar Pradesh) has got appreciation from the India Book of Records (IBR) on qualifying UGC-NET exam six times.
