An interesting scene unfolded at
the Sector 34 Gurudwara in Chandigarh, when the bride started playing harmonium and sang
Shabad, immediately after taking the ‘laavan-fere’. The bride's sister Gurleen Kaur
sang along. The groom was also sitting with her. It was a big surprise to the
guests and relatives attending the wedding ceremony.
Hazuri Ragi of Darbar Sahib,
Bhai Gurdev Singh ji, who was presenting Kirtan during Jasleen Kaur's Lavan-Fere,
has also trained both the sisters in music. Renowned Sufi singer Padmashri
Puranchand Wadali also presented Shabad on the occasion and blessed the bride
and groom for a happy married life.
The bride's father, CA Gurdeep
Singh says that his daughter has been very fond of singing since her childhood.
Jasleen Kaur of Phase-11, Mohali, is married to Raminder Singh, nephew of
world-renowned Ragi Balwinder Singh Rangila (Chandigarh Wale) and son of Bhai Surinder
Singh Rangila. The ritual of Anandkaraj was performed at the Gurdwara of Sector
34 for this marriage.
CA Gurdeep Singh said, “We are
happy that our daughter is going to a highly religious, kind and music oriented
family.”
