‘Ambersar De Papad’ song of 'Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh' released


Whenever you heard the word Ambersar de Papad, the iconic song ‘Ambersar de papad ve main khandi na’ of legendary singer Dolly Guleria comes to mind. Even after decades, the lyrics of the song are still fresh in the mind. However, this time the makers of 'Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh' are all set to create the magic out of this song again with a new version of ‘Ambersar de Papad’ with a twist of its comparison with the city beautiful Chandigarh.
The song is sung by Gippy Grewal and Sunidhi Chauhan. The lyrics of the song are penned down by Maninder Kailey. Jatinder Shah has composed the song.
About the song, Gippy Grewal said, “I have heard the song ‘Ambersar De Papad’ since my childhood. When makers decided to add this song in the movie and I got the opportunity to sing, it was an unrealistic experience for me. We have put our own twist in this and hope people would like this and shower their love to 'Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh'.”
Female singer of the song, Sunidhi Chauhan said, “Punjabi songs are always close to my heart. Although I sing more Hindi songs, whenever I got a chance to sing a Punjabi song I never lose that opportunity, especially those with a folk touch. Ambersar De Papad is one song which I am sure people will love and will listen on loop. I wish all the best to the whole team for the movie.”
Directed by Karan R Guliani, the film stars Gippy Grewal, Sargun Mehta in the lead roles. Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh is a romantic comedy. Naresh Kathooria has written the screenplay and dialogues. Music and background score has been given by Jatinder Shah. The whole project is produced by Sumit Dutt, Anupama Katkar and Eara Dutt. The film will bring Sargun Mehta and Gippy Grewal on the screen together for the first time.
Worldwide distribution of the film is done by Munish Sahni’s Omjee Group. The song has already been released on the Times Music’s official YouTube channel

Textile body HEWA thanks PM Modi for back to back decisions to promote Indian Exports

New Delhi : The Home Textile Exporters' Welfare Association (HEWA) whole heartily thanked the Modi Government for giving patient hearing to various woes of Indian Textile exporters that were brought to the cognizance of various ministries and govt departments by HEWA. The Union Minister for Textile & Commerce, Piyush Goel and Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur declared during a press briefing recently that Government of India has approved disbursal of a hefty amount of Rs 56,000 crore arrear to the exporters under various schemes such as MEIS, RoSL, RoSCTL and RoDTEP. The declaration is a very big relief for the entire Export Industry, which includes MEIS worth Rs 33,000 crore, RoSCTL and RoSL worth Rs 5,500 crore and few other schemes aggregating Rs 5,000 crore.
